through
web of lace
draped before a
pane
at children
then mothers shapeless
black inside
unlike
life and its
perverse
insistence, but
wet like death
and sour

Michael Marchand is a poet living in Kansas City, Missouri, by way of the swampy beaches of Florida. His primary artistic concerns are object oriented and minimal in nature. Among his passions and hobbies are the “ma la” cuisine of the Sichuan Province of China, international cinema, and obscure vintage video games. He and his girlfriend love dogs but can not commit to owning one, so they watch dogs part time; developing relationships that last, quite quickly. He is currently working on a website which will be best viewed using Netscape Navigator 2.0.
